this is an all picture post of the last month or so that's serving as a tribute to this thing from outer-space that landed in new york. yeah, yeah, i know it's probably old news to the rest of america, aside from maine, but maine's practically canada anyway. florida will recognize this as "the past," but it's still very, very special to us here.

What great pictures. The girls are growing so fast.
Such beautiful pictures and beautiful children! Can I ask what type of camera do you use. We need to get a good one before we head to Africa (hopefully end of summer!!) and I'm looking for advice. Thanks.

Hi Anna & Ben,
Great pictures! We actually took the easy route for our readoption and hired a lawyer. She sent us a packet of forms that we had to fill out and have notarized (including another set of fingerprints to be taken at the local PD), we sent them back to her, she filed them with the county court who eventually scheduled the official date for us. The day of court we walked away with the official adoption decree and were able to use that along with his Ethiopian Passport (which we did get back, and could've given them his green card instead) we applied for his US Passport. As soon as that arrived we were able to apply for his SSN, and now the only thing left is his NY Birth Certificate which just requires me to send in a form that's been sitting on the table for a month... This probably isn't terribly helpful for you, and feel free to ask any specific questions if you want - the whole thing A-Z ran about $1500. Good luck!
So CUTE! Saida is so pretty. And I love Hilina in the yellow dress and striped babylegs and little poufs. And Judah sometimes looks so adorably perplexed being amidst two sisters. What a lovely family! Seriously needed to see cute baby photos today. Thanks!
they are such a beautiful trio!
The girls are getting so big and more beautiful, if that's possible. And, wow, look at Judah's cheeks. Squeezable. Enjoy summer. You all look so happy!
Your kiddos are adorable! I found your blog through a friend who is adopting from Ethiopia, and I love it! We are adopting a baby boy in a couple of weeks, having a baby in November, and have a two year old on the move, so it's fun to read about your adventures! Thanks for sharing!
