now, what are capital letters again?
I am totally cracking up. I live in Santa Cruz and we get names like Ocean, Summer, Autumn, Sage....all the hippy names. So, I'm with you. What is up? Baby asthma, that's just too much. So, so many posts to reply about. It looks like you bought a house? If so, love the picture and totally cool for you! What a feat! You wrote about Saida's personality. I have to say, maybe it's an Ethiopian girl thing. Amara is fierce, strong, independent and sooooo busy. She's very happy most of the time, can't complain, but the girl is on fire. Her new thing is slapping mommy's face when I take her away from something and she's frustrated. She's now asserting her will which is great but exhausting. So, enjoy it now. When they add that to walking and touching, it's a whole other ball of wax. At least I know she'll be a strong woman. That's awesome.Anyway, I was thinking about you, Ben and the girls. So much has happened since that day at Toukoul. Taake care and stay in touch.
Is mama-do actually mama-do or mahamadou?
There must be some misunderstanding. There is no way they named a child Baby Asthma. Right? I mean, aren't there laws for this?
Yeah, is that really how you spell that? Asthma? :) lol.... I have no idea about Kaya 2, but Mamadou is a pretty common west African boy's name. I had at least 2 Mamadous at my high school. I think it's a variant of Mohammed, but I could be wrong on that.Cootie? That's awesome. Man, I hope that kid's big enough to not get picked on in the schoolyard...
you would think, but i asked him to spell his name and he said very clearly it was mama-do. maybe his parents wanted to throw off USCIS?
